1. The short version
- New subscriptions: full refund within 14 days if you have used fewer than 20% of the credits in your first period.
- Annual plans: cancel at any time and receive a pro-rated refund of the unused whole months, less the value of credits already consumed.
- Monthly plans: cancel any time; the current month is not refunded, but you keep full access until it ends.
- Failed generations: always refunded in credits, automatically, with no request needed.
- Service outages: if we fail materially, we refund. Ask us.
The detail follows.
2. Who this applies to
This policy applies to purchases of VizDrop subscriptions from ABCoreSystems. All payments are processed by Paddle as merchant of record, and refunds are issued through Paddle back to the original payment method.
This policy sits alongside, and does not reduce, any statutory right you have as a consumer in your country of residence. Where local law grants you a stronger right than this policy, that law prevails.
3. The 14-day window for new subscriptions
If you are subscribing to a paid VizDrop plan for the first time, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the initial charge, provided you have used less than 20% of that period’s credit allowance.
Concretely, that means you still qualify if you have used fewer than:
- 40 credits on Starter (of 200);
- 120 credits on Pro (of 600);
- 400 credits on Agency (of 2,000).
Above that threshold, a full refund is not available, because you have received a substantial part of what you paid for. A partial refund may still be available under section 4 or 6.
The 14-day window applies to a first subscription only. It does not reset when you upgrade, downgrade, resubscribe after cancelling, or switch between monthly and annual billing.
4. Annual plans: pro-rated refunds
If you cancel an annual plan part-way through its term, you may request a pro-rated refund calculated as follows:
- Take the annual price you paid.
- Divide by 12 to obtain a monthly value, and multiply by the number of whole months remaining in the term. Partial months are not refunded.
- Subtract the value of any credits you have consumed beyond your pro-rata entitlement for the months already elapsed, valued at the equivalent monthly plan rate.
A worked example. You bought Pro annual at $249 and cancel after four months and one week, having used a total of 1,400 credits. Eight whole months remain, so the base refund is $249 ÷ 12 × 8 = $166. Your entitlement across five started months at 600 credits a month is 3,000 credits, and you used 1,400, under your entitlement, so no deduction applies. The refund is $166.
Had you instead used 4,200 credits, that is 1,200 above your 3,000-credit entitlement. At the Pro monthly rate of $24.99 for 600 credits, those excess credits are worth roughly $50, which is deducted, giving a refund of about $116.
5. Monthly plans
Monthly subscriptions are not refunded for the current period once it has begun, outside the 14-day window in section 3. When you cancel, billing stops immediately and no further charges are made, but you keep full access, including watermark-free downloads, until the end of the period you have already paid for.
We do not consider this harsh: a monthly commitment is small, and you can cancel on day one of a period and still use it fully.
6. Service failures
We will refund, without argument, in each of the following cases.
- Failed generations. If a generation job fails, the credits it consumed are returned to your balance automatically. This happens without any request from you and is recorded in your credit transaction history so you can verify it.
- Extended outage. If VizDrop is unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours in a billing period, contact us and we will refund that period pro-rata for the time lost.
- Charged in error. Duplicate charges, charges after a confirmed cancellation, or charges to an account you did not authorise are refunded in full on verification.
- Feature withdrawn. If we discontinue a feature material to your plan, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused period, as set out in our Terms of Service.
7. What is not refundable
- Consumed credits. Credits spent on generations that completed successfully are not refundable, including where you are dissatisfied with the creative direction of the output. Generative output is inherently variable; this is why the free generation exists, so you can assess quality on your own brand before paying.
- Periods already elapsed. Past billing periods during which you had access to the service are not refundable, whether or not you used it.
- Accounts terminated for breach. If we terminate an account for a material breach of the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy, including watermark removal or creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free generations, no refund is due.
- Third-party costs. Currency conversion fees or charges applied by your bank or card issuer are outside our control.
8. How to request a refund
Email admin@abcoresystems.com with the subject line “Refund request” and include:
- the email address on your VizDrop account;
- the approximate date of the charge, and the plan;
- a brief explanation of why you are requesting it.
You do not need to justify a request made within the 14-day window under section 3.
We acknowledge refund requests within two business days and decide within five. Approved refunds are issued through Paddle to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
9. Cancelling without a refund
Cancelling and requesting a refund are separate actions. You can cancel at any time from Dashboard → Billing, which stops future charges. If you also want money back for the current period, you must additionally make a request under section 8. Cancelling alone does not trigger one.
10. Chargebacks
Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks are costly and slow to resolve for both sides, and in almost every case we can settle the matter faster directly. Accounts subject to an unresolved chargeback may be suspended pending resolution.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version in force at the time of your purchase governs that purchase, so a change will never retroactively reduce a refund right you already had.
