Cookie Policy
VizDrop uses a deliberately small number of cookies, all of them strictly necessary. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. This policy lists every one.

1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. It lets the site recognise your browser between requests, which is how you stay signed in as you move between pages. Related technologies, such as browser local storage, work similarly but are not sent with every request; this policy covers those too, because the practical effect is the same.
2. Our position
VizDrop is a paid tool, not an advertising business. We have no commercial reason to track you, so we do not. We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels, no third-party analytics that build a behavioural profile, and no social media tracking widgets.
Every item listed below is strictly necessary: remove it and the site either stops working or forgets a preference you deliberately set.

5. Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party tracking scripts. However, two of our providers may set cookies in the specific contexts where you interact with them directly:
- Paddle: during checkout, Paddle sets cookies necessary to process your payment and prevent payment fraud. These are set by Paddle as an independent controller and are governed by Paddle’s own cookie policy. They are not set unless you open the checkout.
- Google: if you choose to sign in with Google, Google sets cookies on its own domain as part of authenticating you. These are governed by Google’s policies. We receive no cookie from Google beyond the sign-in result.
Neither of these places an advertising or profiling cookie on the VizDrop domain, and neither is set for visitors who do not use those features.
6. Consent
Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary for a service you have requested, we are permitted to set them without prior consent under the ePrivacy Directive and the UK PECR.
We show a consent banner nonetheless, so you are informed rather than surprised. Choosing “Necessary only” makes no functional difference today, because we set nothing beyond the necessary, but it records your preference, and if we ever introduce an optional cookie, that preference will govern whether it is set.
7. Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser offers this, usually under Privacy or Site Settings.
Be aware of the consequence: blocking cookies from vizdrop.com will prevent you from signing in, because the session cookie is how the service knows who you are. The public pages will continue to work.
To clear the two local storage keys listed above, use your browser’s “clear site data” function for vizdrop.com. The cookie banner will then reappear on your next visit.
8. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no consistent industry standard for responding to it. We do not need to respond to it in a special way, because we do not track users across sites under any circumstances.
9. Changes to this policy
If we introduce a new cookie, we will update this policy and, where the cookie is not strictly necessary, obtain your consent before setting it. Material changes are announced by email to account holders at least 14 days in advance.
This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
